CLWF 2018
This year's Camlough Lake Water Festival takes place at Camlough Lake on 10, 11 and 12 August.
The senior men are entering a team to the All Ireland Open Water Water Polo Championships and will camp at the lake from Friday 11 to Sunday 12.
A number of open water swims for U16s and seniors are taking place across the three days of the festival, as well as triathlons and the U16 Try-a-Tri. Details of the events taking place across the weekend can be found below.
If any players are interested in taking part in either the water polo competition of any of the other events taking place across the weekend, please get in touch.
End of season awards
News from the end of season awards night and table quiz at Sailsbury Bowling Club on Saturday 9th June, and the final mini and maxi polo session of the season!
Cú Chulainn hosted an end of season awards night and table quiz at Sailsbury Bowling Club before rounding off the season with a presentation to mini and maxi polo players at the Falls Leisure Centre.

Newry Water Polo Perpetual Cup
The awards concluded with the presentation of the Newry Water Polo Perpetual Cup.
The U12 team competed in the tournament in January and secured Cú Chulainn's first piece of silverwear.

Table Quiz
The Table Quiz was a great success and saw a number of teams battle it out to the final round.
Thanks to Dante's Corporate Catering for a fantastic buffet and to Michael McKendry for running the quiz and reminding us all that the quiz master (like the referree) is never wrong; especially when he is clearly wrong.
Particular thanks must go to parents, players and members who attended and contributed to a great night's craic.
Mini & Maxi end of season
The final junior session of the year took place at the Falls Leisure Centre on Thursday 14th June.
A fun session was followed by the juniors being presented with a medal for their efforts over the year and a party bag courtesy of Dante’s Catering to celebrate the summer.
Thanks to players, parents and coaches for all of their efforts during the season!
Summer Break
Information for junior and senior players on training sessions and the summer break.
Seniors
Senior sessions have finished for the summer.
Pre-season will start at the beginning of August. Senior players will be notified by email. U17s and U19s should also plan to attend pre-season.
Juniors
The final junior sessions before the summer break are as follows:
- BRA - Tuesday 5th June,
- Grove - Wednesday 6th June,
- Falls - Thursday 14th June.
Junior session will resume towards the end of August. Parents and players will be informed when the bookings have been confirmed.
Ulster Skills Camps
Ulster Water Polo are running a number of skills camps during the summer.

Boys and Girls U11 and U13
- Sunday 29th July
- U11, registration 3.30pm, pool session 4-6pm (skills and mini polo games) Athlete criteria – proficient mini/maxi polo player
- U13 , registration 4.45pm, classroom/warm-up session 5-6pm, pool session 6-7.45pm
- Athlete criteria – able to swim 4 lengths without stopping and proficient in deep water.
Boys U15 and U17
- Sun 5th August, 4-8 pm , Bangor Aurora
- Fri 7th September, 7.30-9.30pm, Grove
- £20 for one session or £30 for both sessions
- The Ulster Team will be selected from these sessions.

This is an opportunity to gather as a club and recognise the success of players and teams throughout the year. There will be prixes for hte best player in each junior category and a prize for best senior together with a presentation to our U12s who were the fist team to win silverwear for the club.
Table quiz
The awards will be followed by a table quiz and a chance to socialise as a club. The entry to the table qiiz is £3 perhead.
Refreshments
Drinks will be available from the venue and some complimentary snacks will be provided.
Everyone welcome
Members, present and past, families, friends and U19s are all welcome to attend.
