A win in the league and Cup qualification for Setanta Seniors
Setanta's senior men's team enjoyed a successful weekend recording wins over local rival Clonard in the Mens National League Division 1 on Saturday at Lagan Valley Leisureplex followed by a win over Drogheda in the Irish Senior Cup qualifier on Sunday in the same venue.

Setanta seniors and juniors in action!
Senior men compete in National League while juniors return to action in Ulster Christmas Leagues
The last weekend on in November sees a busy weekend of matches for the club as the U-10's, U-12's and Seniors are all in action twice.
The mini and maxi polo team continue to take part in the Ulster mini and maxi polo leagues, which run on Friday nights at the Anderstown Leisure Centre on the run up to Christmas. The mini polo team will face off against Newry and Clonard while the maxi polo team take on Doneall Diamonds and Cathal Brugha.
The seniors return to action in the Men's Division 1 with games against St Vincent's A and B teams in the Bangor Aurora Aquatic and Leisure Complex on Saturday and Sunday. This is the first weekend of water polo in the Bangor 50 m competition pool this season and a full schedule of games is sure to attract a crowd.

Season up and running with a win over North Dublin

Setanta senior men got their National League Division 1 season up and running with a 9-10 win over North Dublin on Saturday evening at the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin.
Despite failing to convert an early penalty, the visitors got off to a flying start and finished the first quarter 1-4 up after goals from Michael Dempsey, Cathal Fitzpatrick, Brendan Campfield and Declan McKerr.
The second quarter saw Eamon Kerr get his name on the score sheet twice while continuing to put in an impressive display in hole back position, the quarter finishing 2-6.
Setanta saw their performance dip in the third quarter with North Dublin scoring four, Declan Mckerr replying with two for the visitors to leave Setanta 6-8 up going into the final quarter.
A great goal from Michael Dempsey put Setanta three goals clear early in the quarter before McClean scored from a man up to put four goals between the two teams. North Dublin finished well, capitalising on a strong full press to score two goals on the break before converting a penalty with 43 seconds to go to draw within one goal of Setanta. The visitors held on to record their first win of the season.

Setanta fall to Sandyove on return to Men's Premier Division
Setanta seniors lose to Sandycove on their return to the Men's Premier League.

Setanta's senior men began their season with a disappointing loss to Sandyove in the NAC, Dublin. The team were boosted by the return of Andrew Nicholson from Swansea (Wales) but were without their coach, Daniel Marin.
The first quarter was a tight affair and finished 3-2 to the home side. However, the match was effectively over by the end of the second quarter when a period of poor play for Setanta resulted in five unanswered goals for Sandycove, who finished the quarter 9-4 up. Sandycove went on to dominate the third quarter, which finished 12-4 before winning 15-8.
