Training times for 2018/2019 season
Information for seniors, juniors, coaches and parents on when and where training sessions will take place at the beginning of the 2018/2019 season.
Senior
Pre-season training starts on Tuesday 14th August (9-10) and Thursday 16th August (8.30 to 9.30).
Pre-season is open to all players aged 15 and above who are interested in Division 1 or Division 3 senior men's polo.
The National Leagues will commence on the weekend of 15th and 16th September. When the fixtures have been published, senior players will be notified and the fixtures posted on this site.
Junior
Sessions will resume the week commencing the Monday 3rd September. The Tuesday evening session in BRA resumes on Tuesday 19th September.
The U16 League, which Cu Chulainn have entered, will commence on the weekend of 8th and 9th of September.
Registration
Registration will be available at all sessions throughout September. Every member who is competing in matches must register with the club by filing out the club membership form and paying the annual registration fee before the end of September. Summer Break
Information for junior and senior players on training sessions and the summer break.
Seniors
Senior sessions have finished for the summer.
Pre-season will start at the beginning of August. Senior players will be notified by email. U17s and U19s should also plan to attend pre-season.
Juniors
The final junior sessions before the summer break are as follows:
- BRA - Tuesday 5th June,
- Grove - Wednesday 6th June,
- Falls - Thursday 14th June.
Junior session will resume towards the end of August. Parents and players will be informed when the bookings have been confirmed.

Ulster Water Polo are running a number of skills camps during the summer.

Boys and Girls U11 and U13
- Sunday 29th July
- U11, registration 3.30pm, pool session 4-6pm (skills and mini polo games) Athlete criteria – proficient mini/maxi polo player
- U13 , registration 4.45pm, classroom/warm-up session 5-6pm, pool session 6-7.45pm
- Athlete criteria – able to swim 4 lengths without stopping and proficient in deep water.
Boys U15 and U17
- Sun 5th August, 4-8 pm , Bangor Aurora
- Fri 7th September, 7.30-9.30pm, Grove
- £20 for one session or £30 for both sessions
- The Ulster Team will be selected from these sessions.

U13 Irish Cup
Information about the Irish U13 Mixed Cup and Ulster U13 Cup
Irish U13 Cup
The U13 Mixed Cup is taking place on 19 and 20 May 2018 in the National Aquatics Centre, Dublin. This year’s competition is for players born 2005 or later.
Details
The competition pool is approximately 1.5 hours drive from Belfast. Given the cost of hotel accommodation in Dublin, it is not proposed that we stay overnight. Instead, we plan to travel down and up on the Saturday and Sunday. Parents are, of course, free to make other arrangements.
The tournament schedule has not been published. We will circulate further details when they are made available.
Registration
In order to compete in the competition, players must be officially registered with the club and Swim Ireland. This includes payment of the annual registration fee.
Ulster U13 Blitz
As part of the preparation for the U13 Cup, a number of U13 events have been planned in the Grove Belfast.
- Friday 6th April
- Friday 11th May
Both blitz run from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
U15 Irish Cup
Information about the Irish U15 Cup and Ulster U15 Blitz.
Irish U15 Cup (born 2003 or later)
The boys and girls Under 15 Cup is taking place on 5th, 6th and 7 May 2018 in Galway.
The event is due to start at 1pm on Saturday 5th May and due to finish on the afternoon of Monday 7 May.
This competition is for players born 2003 or later.
Parents of players will be contacted shortly with information regarding travel arrangements and cost.
Ulster U15 Blitz
As part of the preparation for the U15 Cup, a number of junior events have been planned in the Grove Belfast.
