Details of 2017/18 season
Information about training, competition entries and registration for the forthcoming season.
Seniors
Competition entry
Cú Chulainn senior men's teams will be competing in the Men's National League, Division 1 and Division 3. The men's team have also submitted an entry for the Bro. Philip Cup and the Irish Senior Cup.
Training and coaches
The men's first team will be coached by Denver Kirk. Training sessions take place in the Falls Leisure Centre on Tuesday evenings (9.00 to 10.00) and Thursday evenings (8.30 to 10.00) beginning 22 August 2017. Additional sessions may be arranged throughout the season. All players who wish to play senior men's water polo should attend all senior sessions.
Registration
All senior players must register with the club. Registration will be available throughout August and in the first week of September. New players of all abilities are welcome.

Juniors
Competition entry
Cú Chulainn junior teams will compete at U9, U11, U13 mixed and U15, U17 and U19 boys. Entries have been made for national cup competitions at U13, U15, U17 and U19 level.
Training and coaches
Junior training sessions will take place in:
- Belfast Royal Academy Pool on Tuesday evenings (U13 and U15),
- Grove Well Being Centre on Wednesday evenings (advanced U13s to U19)
- Falls Leisure Centre on Thursday evenings (U9, U11 and U13)
Wednesday and Thursday night sessions commence on the 6th and 7th of September while the Tuesday night session has not been confirmed.
Registration
Registration will take place at the following times:
- Wednesday 6th September, Grove Well Being Centre, 6.00 to 7.00
- Thursday 7th September, Falls Leisure Centre, 7.30 to 8.30

Fees
Information about fees for the year ahead will be emailed to all members and will be available during registration (see above).

Fixtures
National fixtures have not yet been made available. When they have been, this information will be sent to all club members and the fixtures section of the website will be updated.
Club gear
Club branded water polo suits for girls and boys along with a club branded t-shirt are currently being designed.
When this process has been finalised, information about prices, sizes and ordering will be made available. It is anticipated that this will be done on a squad basis, with the seniors taking priority ahead of the national leagues beginning in late September.

Details of summer break
Details of when traning finishes for the summer and restarts for the 2017/2018 season.
Senior
Senior sessions for the 2016/2017 season have finished.
Pre-season for the 2017/18 season begins on the following dates:
- Tuesday night sessions, Falls Lesiure Centre, 9.00 to 10.00, Tuesday 15 August
- Thursday night sessions, Falls Leisure Centre, 8.30 to 10.00, Thursday 24 August
Junior
Junior sessions are still running but the last session for U-9s, U-11s and U-13s will take place on Thursday 22 June in the Falls Leisure centre.
Training for the 2017/2018 season will resume at the end of August / beginning of September, with further sessions being introduced for U-15 to U-19s. More detials will follow when pool bookings have been confirmed.
Open water swimming
The seniors are continuing to train and compete in open water swims across Ulster. If any seniors or capable juniors are interested in training or competing in the open water, get in touch.

Swim Ireland has announced details of the 2017 Water Polo Academy and Summer Camp.
Swim Ireland has announced details of the 2017 Water Polo Academy and Summer Camp.
Directed by Gary O’Brien (National Development Manager for Water Polo) this is an opportunity for all water polo players aged between (12-18) to take part in an action packed weekend of water polo development in and out of the pool.
The Academy will be aimed at experienced players who want to fine tune their skills and push themselves to learn new and exciting techniques.
The Summer Camp will be aimed at anyone new or progressing through the game who is interested in improving their water polo skills and getting ready for the season ahead.

Ulster junior games - May 2017
Ulster Water Polo has announced a programme of junior matches for May 2017 involving U9s, U11s and U13s.
Ulster Water Polo has announced a series of matches for mini, maxi and u-13 age groups this may in Andersonstown Leisure centre.
Ulster U9 and U11
- Friday, May 12
- 7:00pm 9:00pm
- Under 9 / mini-polo (2008/2009)
- Under 11 / maxi-polo (2006/2007)
Both teams will play a number of matches during the two hour blitz. Players should bring t-shirt and shorts for the period between matches.
Ulster U13
- Friday, May 19
- Friday, May 26
- 7:00pm 9:00pm
- U13 (2004/2005)
Matches will be played across two Fridays from 7.00 to 9.00pm.
The team will play a number of matches each week, all players should bring shorts and t-shirts for the period between matches.
Farewell feile at Andersonstown L.C.
- Saturday, May 20
- 5:00pm to8:00pm
To mark the closing of Andersonstown Leisure Centre ahead of a two year development project, a number of matches are being arranges followed by a short celebration and reception.
Setanta will be entering:
- U-10 (2007/2008)
- U-13 (2004/2005)
Matches will be played between 5.00pm and 7.00pm and a reception will follow between 7.00pm and 8.00pm.
